About the Author of Cancer While Black
Bestselling Author Anthonette Jacob is the Founder and Executive Director of the African, Caribbean & Black (ACB) Wellness Centre.
She established the Centre in May 2021 while courageously undergoing cancer treatment.
Jacob also wrote, directed, and produced Cancer while Black the docuseries, which showcased the hardships and triumphs of Black community members in Ottawa who have been affected by cancer.
Her dedication to community service has earned her the King Charles III's Coronation Medal in 2025.
